I think a big issue with the world today is that no one writes love letters anymore….

They don’t have to be love letters in a romantic sense. They don’t even have to be letters.

They could be a text or an email…detailing your appreciation of your connection with someone no matter what type of connection it is.

As a poet, I am always writing love letters. Although the one they’re intended for may not always read them. I scatter them like breadcrumbs, across the internet, snapchat, Instagram, and even here on my blog….until I decided to start forming a manuscript to publish.

I throw them out in the universe, hoping for them to reach their intended target through an act of fate, simply because I struggle with  direct communication.

But maybe one day, I’ll feel comfortable enough to hand my love letter directly to the person it’s meant for.

It’s happened once. Perhaps it will happen again…

Regardless, I think love letters should be the next trend…no matter how you wish to send them or whom you wish to send them to.
